Holy Fire Reiki
What is Reiki?
Reiki (Ray key) is an ancient system of healing from Japan that translates as ‘life force energy’. It was developed in the early 20th Century by Mikao Usui, is non-invasive and has been taught widely since the 1900s.
Holy Fire Reiki is a modern form of Reiki energy healing that combines traditional Usui Reiki with a newer, higher-frequency energy called "Holy Fire." It was introduced by William Lee Rand around 2014 through the International Center for Reiki Training (ICRT).
In Holy Fire Reiki the energy is described as being very pure, powerful, and nurturing. ‘Holy’ doesn’t mean religious - it refers more to a sense of wholeness, completeness and divine love.
Reiki works by channelling universal energy through the hands of the practitioner to the person receiving it. Reiki is intelligent and only goes where it is needed whether that is for physical pain, emotional or spiritual blockages.
How can Reiki help you?
Reiki can be used alongside conventional and natural treatments and is safe for adults, children, pregnant women, babies and animals. Reiki can help with deep-rooted physical or emotional issues, promote relaxation and help with stress relief. You do not need to be ill or distressed to benefit – regular Reiki treatments can help maintain a sense of balance and good health. What happens during a session?
During a Reiki session, I will lightly place my hands on or over specific energy (chakra centres). Reiki treats the whole person and can help encourage feelings of peace, relaxation and wellbeing. You may experience warm tingling sensations, visions and waves of emotions during a session.
The session usually starts with a brief chat to discuss why you are coming. You remain fully clothed on the massage table and usually I place a warm cosy blanket on top of you and eye mask if you want. After the session, we might talk about what you experienced, or you might just be left to soak in the peaceful aftereffects. Many people feel lighter, clearer, or deeply relaxed.
A single Reiki session can definitely bring noticeable benefits like relaxation, stress relief, or a boost in energy. But when you're working on deeper healing, a series of sessions tends to build up momentum and create more lasting change.
