Flower Essences
What are Flower Essences?
Flower essences are a really beautiful and subtle form of natural healing!
In simple terms: flower essences are vibrational remedies made by capturing the energetic imprint of flowers in water.
They aren’t about the physical parts of the flower (like essential oils are).
Instead, they hold the emotional and spiritual energy of the flower.
Fresh blossoms are placed in pure water and left in sunlight (or sometimes moonlight) for a few hours. The water "absorbs" the vibrational energy of the flower. This water is then preserved (usually with brandy or glycerin) and used to create the final essence.
What flower essences do:
Flower essences always treat the individual not the ‘dis-ease’. They work mainly on your emotional and mental states as the root and can help to:
Balance emotions and release old patterns
Strengthen positive traits such as courage, self-love and calmness
Release concerns and worry
Help promote harmony in relationships
Guide us during times of transition

They’re super gentle — safe for adults, kids, animals, even plants!
A classic example, Rescue Remedy (from the Bach Flower Remedies) is probably the most famous flower essence blend. It's used for immediate stress, shock, or anxiety.
I work with Bach Flower Essences and Australian Bush Flower Essences.
Your first appointment will last around 60 minutes, allowing us time to gently explore your story. We’ll begin with a health questionnaire and then move into a heartfelt conversation about anything that may be holding you back from living your fullest life. Each session is a unique experience, guided by what arises for you. I work intuitively, weaving in flower cards and pendulum dowsing to support the process.
This is a safe and welcoming space for you to be completely honest about how you feel — not how you think you should feel. Often, simply naming emotions and bringing them into the light creates a deep sense of relief.
Together, we will set a clear and meaningful intention for how you would like to feel moving forward. I will then guide you in selecting the flower essences that are most aligned with your emotional and energetic needs.
I work with a range of gentle, carefully chosen essences, including Healing Herbs Bach Flowers and Australian Bush Flower Essences.
Once your essences are selected, I will blend a personalised monthly dosage bottle for you.
Appointments are available in person with remedies available for collection or postage.
Aftercare
I usually recommend a course of at least three appointments, spaced about a month apart, particularly when working to dissolve deeper or long-standing issues. As old blocks begin to clear, new layers may naturally reveal themselves, requiring different essences to support your unfolding journey.
Essences from your personalised dosage bottle are typically taken by placing a few drops directly on the tongue. They can also be added to a glass of water and sipped throughout the day. Beyond internal use, essences may be added to bathwater, incorporated into creams and lotions, or blended into a spray for your environment.
While sometimes the impact of flower essences can be immediate, more often the changes unfold subtly, gently dissolving negative emotions and restoring balance. You may experience a period of increased emotional sensitivity as stuck feelings rise to the surface — but this is a natural part of the healing process and usually passes quickly.
Keeping a journal during your essence cycle is highly encouraged, as it can help bring clarity to your thoughts, emotions, and the shifts you experience along the way.
